Tony and 10 others: I have a client who retired in August 2024 but has been offered part-time teaching work over the summer. His final salary pension is due to commence at age 60 (October 2025), and my understanding is that the "best average salary" under Method B (£63,551.98 from 01/09/14 to 31/08/17) remains protected for his pension calculation. Would rejoining the TPS this summer affect this? I ask because the September 2014 period would fall outside the 10-year lookback as we are now in 2025 if he rejoins. Thanks! Click…

Lee and 17 others:  I’m a relatively new user of Voyant, I think it’s great but a big learning curve. I’m making good progress in building plans but my reports are huge because I’m unsure which boxes to tick for generating the report, so go mad ticking too many.

Edit Clarification. I'm sure LISAs benefit those would use the tax relief to purchase their first home or otherwise take it at 60+ but that wasn't my measure of how good/bad LISAs are any more than considering that a Snickers bar still tastes good if it was nicked.

LISAs are restrictive, a poor use of tax payers money, and they don't solve house prices if anything they fuel them slightly. Click…
